Created and hosted by singer songwriter Beth Portman, Birdie on a Branch is an intimate monthly music night (2nd Thursday unless noted) that celebrates the human voice and features local singer songwriters and vocalists both emerging and experienced. Come for dinner, a latte, glass of wine or a sweet treat and check out the many talented performers hopping on the branch to share their songs. Evening typically includes two sets: 20 minute opener and 45 minute feature. Show your appreciation by leaving a donation in our painted bird houses.

“Birdie on a Branch is back this fall for our fourth season! Mark your calendar for Sept. 19th when our featured Birdie, Jessica Heine and opening New Birdie, Abby K take to the branch.”
Singer and songwriter Jessica Heine (N-Na) charms audiences with her songwriting and dynamic voice. a fine arts graduate with a BMus in vocal performance, she revels in singing classical music, but her real passion is folk music and storytelling through song. this summer she released her first new album in almost 10 years, Goodbye Party; a record that explores farewells, some of them incredibly hard, others providing new opportunities and beginnings. In this new music is an optimism that showcases a hopeful strength of spirit that Heine breathes not only into her music, but her life as well.
